Trampolines with Nets
There are some trampolines with nets. Nets are optional accessories that can be attached to any kind or model of trampoline. Not everyone however may realize their true importance. If you are a trampoline owner with kids, you may want to seriously think about getting a good net.
Trampoline nets are also alternatively known as safety nets or enclosures. They go around the frame of trampolines. This can help catch stray jumpers and prevent falls from the mat area. Nets that can be fitted within the inner portion of a trampoline frame also help prevent injury caused by hitting the surrounding metal frame. Even with frame pads, jumpers can still get injured if they hit the padded frame so nets are a good additional safety precaution.
Trampolines with nets are not all the same. Some have rigid steel bars that hold the net material up while others do not. There is an ongoing argument about which is a better option. Rigid bars help ensure that nets don’t fail in case a jumper hits it hard. Metal bars however may be potential sources of injury if jumpers hit the bars directly instead of the soft net material.
There is also some controversy regarding the use of nets in general. Critics feel that nets can foster a false sense of security. Jumpers may become bolder when they attempt flips because of the nets. Parents too may pay less attention to their kids. This doesn’t have to be the case though. Trampolines with nets can offer protection only to a certain extent. Nothing can replace proper adult supervision.
